As a teacher, I provide a classroom that is safe, fun and well-managed so that my students feel respected and at the same time enjoy learning. I strive to help my students become successful learners and I speak openly with students, staff and parents while encouraging parental involvement. I am continuing to educate myself so that I am aware of the latest research relating to education and how children learn best. Learning is a crucial part of a young person’s life. It is up to teachers, like myself, to expose today’s youth to the world in which we live and what better place to do that than hands-on in a classroom. There are many fascinating things children can be taught and a public school is a great place to learn about those things. Young children are so full of life and so eager to learn. Can you understand why I love coming to work every day?
